I launched my program to help kids who may not have the opportunity to learn this game. I developed strong connections with school athletic directors and community gym directors to find practice locations. This initiative has also kept kids off the streets, particularly in Salisbury, where violence is a persistent issue. The children see their coach as a significant presence in their lives, and I've gained their trust by being there for them consistently, which inspires me today.

The program began in 2009 with just one team! We are proud to have expanded to 8 teams, engaging over 80 kids, with both boys' and girls' teams ranging from 5th grade to high school. Our commitment to growth and development continues as we look to add even more teams in the future. 

 Our mission is to support young athletes, ensuring they excel not only on the court but also in their academic pursuits. We aim to create a nurturing environment with dedicated educators, a space for after-school activities, and a Big Brother program for male athletes. Together, we’re committed to making a positive impact in our community, providing transportation for those in need, and fostering a culture of growth and giving back.

I started my coaching journey with starting my own travel basketball team. I coached 2 years at China Grove Middle School, 5 years at North Hills Christian school and currently 2 years at Southeast middle school.

With experience coaching at China Grove Middle School, North Hills Christian School, and currently at Southeast Middle School, I am dedicated to helping young athletes grow both on and off the court. My passion lies in building their confidence and inspiring them to see life from a different perspective. Witnessing their respect for teachers and peers blossom fuels my enthusiasm every day, making this journey truly rewarding.
